The Sunflower Studio also operates as a gallery for local art. Shows usually change every month, check out below or sign up to the mailing list to be the first one to know.

If the sign it out, the studio is open. So pop in and say hello.

The Sunflower is also a proud participant in GOSS (Geraldton Open Studios and Surrounds) and the Urban Art Trail.

Narelle Beaver
Still Water, Open Sea
24th April - 28th May
Narelle Beaver is an incredible local artist, who paints the ocean in these large scale oil paintings. Her upcoming exhibition 'Still Water, Open Water' is painted from lived experience in the ocean off Geraldton, these works move between calm and movement, surface and depth, stillness and swell. They reflect the quiet moments where the ocean softens—where breath slows, light settles, and the water becomes a place of rest. Personally, I cannot wait to have these incredible pieces on my walls (and for sale wink wink).
There is a free opening night too, so get a little dolled up and absorb some arts and culture. 24th April 6-9pm, stick it in your calendars, tickets recommended.

Uncatalogued - Observations (Unverified)
27th June - 24th July
A collection of observations gathered from coastlines, bush tracks, and moments of
stillness — though not all details can be confidently verified. Some subjects were
observed clearly, others less so, and a few may have improved slightly in
recollection. Over time, these moments have been assembled into a series of informal field
notes, where what was seen, almost seen, and possibly misremembered begin to
blur. Uncatalogued presents these fragments — not as fixed records, but as impressions
that sit somewhere between observation and memory, inviting viewers to leave
certainty at the door and enter a space where details shift, soften, and resist easy
definition.
