The Sunflower Studio also operates as a gallery for local art. Shows usually change every month, check out below or sign up to the mailing list to be the first one to know. ​If the sign is out, the studio is open. So pop in and say hello.

The Sunflower Studio is also a proud participant in GOSS (Geraldton Open Studios and Surrounds) and the Urban Art Trail.

If you are an artist who would like to exhibit, I'm already taking bookings for 2027. Commission is 20%, and it's $150 to lock in your spot. Email me with your portfolio and we can chat.
Sammy Jay
'Fluidity'
22nd August - 16th September
Sammy Jay is a Geraldton artist who specialises in bold, colourful abstracts, fun florals and vibrant patterns, working across a range of mediums. Their work is heavily influenced by their lived experience of disability, queerness and identity, creating pieces that share the joy, freedom and self-expression that art has always brought them. They are a community focused creator, and work with other disabled people in a creative capacity, attend local markets and run workshops that cater to neurodiversity.

The free opening event is on Saturday 22nd August from 10-2pm.
Hayley Savage
'The Birds and the Bees'
18th September - 1st November
Hayley is the artist/teacher/entrepreneur behind the Sunflower Studio.
​
This is her third solo show in three years. The first year, she made what she knew. The second year, she made what she thought would sell. This year, she's creating moments in pieces that are snapshots of life in the last 12 months. Painting murals has pushed her to refine her skills and explore her style, experimenting and exploring with each new work. This show will be a collection of birds and blooms in her signature style, saturated colours and joy-driven creations. The kind of pieces that reveal themselves differently from a distance than they do up close, where visible brushstrokes and side-by-side colours create her artist's view.

The free opening event will be on Friday 18th September from 6-9pm, and the show will be up to view until the 1st November.
Paige Kirby
7th November
Paige is an emerging visual artist primarily working in watercolour, alongside charcoal and mixed media practices. Inspired by the landscapes and coastlines of Western Australia, her work explores marine life, native flora and fauna, and the personal connections people form with place.

Through both detailed observation and intuitive mark-making, Paige aims to create artworks that celebrate the natural environment while capturing the memories, experiences and stories that shape her creative practice.
