So a bit about me! I’m an artist, a teacher, a business owner, a social media manager, a mum and a colourful human, and I love my little Sunflower Studio. 🌻 Originally a Deli when it first opened in the 50’s, it was empty for five years when I saw it and thought, I can do something with that. Since that moment about two years ago, it’s tuned into a gallery, a workshop space, a creative hub and safe space for people of all ages, creative ability and walks of life.

When I finished school at 18, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life but I knew I loved art. I fell into an illustration degree, then after that hospitality because what do people with art degrees do besides become baristas? ☕️ Turns out I loved it, looking after customers, running small businesses, problem solving and building connections with regulars. From here, I became a TAFE lecturer teaching hospo, painting, social media, excel, and many other cool things. I’m a bit of a jack of all trades. 😂 From there I became a small business advisor for a year, then thought, hey I should do this for myself! It was a little impulsive but perfect timing, I feel like I’ve been training for it forever! 

The Sunflower is one of the great loves of my life, I feel so lucky that I get to build community in our lovely seaside town. Feel free to reach out and say hello, or come in if you see the sign out.
